We’re looking for an individual who has a strong work ethic and follows direction well and can grow in a fast paced business as your abilities and position grow along with our company. Your ability to set priorities and meet deadlines is essential to your success and that of the company. Your responsibilities will include managing and working on shipping/receiving, product assembly, inventory control, and customer service. You will also use a computerized system to help prepare daily shipping and tracking of orders. You should always be ready to lend a helping hand and easily share your supportive nature with those around you.

 

Warehouse Associate job description: Job requirements and qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments off the truck
  • Place new shipment in proper plan on warehouse floor
  • Process customer/client orders and then fill those orders
  • Prepare shipping labels
  • Double check all labels against customer orders to ensure the right items go to the right place
  • Keep the warehouse tidy at all times
  • Restock and ensure all varieties are accessible.
  • Rotate inventory of any and all goods by date, finished and stored.
  • Occasionally drive packages to the post office

Qualifications

  • 2 solid years of work experience, warehouse experience preferred
  • High school diploma required
  • Enrollment and /or completion of any further education is preferred
  • Ability to learn how to operate a forklift
  • Understand assemblies and correctly operate small power tools
  • Entry level ability to analyze data and provide insights from data
  • Entry level ability to manage inventory and process new shipment using inventory management software
  • Ability to think critically and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure the highest accuracy
  • Familiar with FedEx, UPS and Shipstation shipping software preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines

Other requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Maintain a valid CA Driver’s License
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time on various surfaces
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and moderately lifting up to 65 pounds unassisted
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Basic math skills required
  • Drug test required before hiring
